Chuanxi is a registered Professional Engineer in civil & structural engineering.
He had been an Associate Professor and the Academic Head of the Department of Civil Engineering when he worked for Hohai University – a state key university in China. He spent two years as a Civil & Structural Engineer in DE Consultants (s) Pte Ltd, Singapore. In 2003, he joint Right Tech (s) Pte Ltd – a specialist tensile membrane contractor, to set up an engineering design department, then he worked as a Senior Engineer for Right Tech(s) Pte Ltd for over three years. In April 2006, he joint Uni-Associated Consultants as a Senior Design Engineer. In March 2007, he joint Meinhardt (Singapore) Pte Ltd as a Senior Structural Engineer,and subsequently as a Principal Engineer since July of 2008.
Beside of building structural and geotechnical design, construction supervision and project management, his particular skills also include research, analysis, design and detailing of complicated lightweight space structural systems and tensile structures.
